May 21st - Denton Poets' Assembly Meeting

Picture
Denton Poets' Assembly will meet on May 21st for poetry readings by members and guests at the Emily Fowler Public Library between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Since J. Paul Holcomb will not be in attendance poems based on his lesson in April,  "Strawberry Soup," will not be read until June.

This opens up a unique opportunity for May. Members and guests will read two free-choice poems. This gives you a chance to share two of your favorites in any form or genre.

In the News

Annie Neugebauer has a short story in, Strange Little Girls. To quote Annie, "I’m so excited to have a short story, “The Cottage of Curiosities,” in this awesome anthology by Belladonna Publishing."

On April 15, the Denton Poets’ Assembly teamed up with artists from the Visual Arts Society of Texas (VAST) in a collaborative exhibit called Merging Visions in celebration of National Poetry Month.

Merging Visions exhibit poems and artwork are originals created by members of the two groups. Some of the poems are created with the artwork as inspiration, and some are inspirations for the artwork.
