The regular meeting kicks of by welcoming guests and visitors. A discussion of chapter business and other poetry events follows.
Members will read assigned poems from J. Paul Holcomb's October lesson on, “Here’s the French form you’ve been waiting for, the rondeau.”
Following the assigned readings, J. Paul Holcomb will present his lesson for November covering, “Speaking of forms, let’s look at the free verse of Alan Birkelbach, the 2005 — Poet Laureate of Texas”
We plan to have a holiday celebration of snacks and desserts during the break.
Members and guests have an opportunity to read a free-choice poem during the final hour of our meeting.
