      About Us

Denton Poets’ Assembly, a chapter of the Poetry Society of Texas and the National Federation of State Poetry Societies, was founded in 2005 by Bonnie Allmond. Our vision statement: to provide a safe place in which to share, read, and learn more about poetry as a supportive and creative community.

The Denton Poets' Assembly monthly meeting is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome. It’s the third Saturday monthly, from 10am to noon, at the Emily Fowler Central Library: 502 Oakland Street, Denton, Texas. You may bring 10 copies of a poem to share. Questions? See the "Contact Us" page.

To become a member, simply come to a meeting and sign up, or contact Beth Honeycutt or Christina Smith. There's no charge to join!
