Denton Poets’ Assembly will meet at the Emily Fowler Branch Library on February 21 from 10 a.m. – noon.
Following announcements and a welcome to visitors, members will read assigned Limerick poems based on J. Paul Holcomb’s January lesson, “The Limerick.”
For Saturday’s lesson J. Paul will present a lesson on the Ottava Rima form.
Later in the meeting members and guests will be invited to share free-choice poems.
In related news, as Lewisville Poet Laureate, J. Paul was asked to write a poem celebrating Lewisville's 90th anniversary as an incorporated city. He wrote the poem presented it Monday night, February 2 at 7 to the City Council at the Lewisville City Hall.
