DPA Finished the Year on a High Note

On Saturday January 15th members of the Denton Poets' Assembly came to gather to recognize J. Paul Holcomb for his years service to our chapter through monthly lessons on poetry, especially poetry forms.

J. Paul concluded by speaking on “A Matter of Form” and gave a lesson on writing a “Love Poem.” In addition, he shared his thoughts on his time with DPA. J. Paul is stepping down as our monthly presenter of lessons, but we hope to keep him around as an asset and resource.

Thank you, DPA, for a wonderful day. Rich's photo of the moon is what is above my poem on the framed presentation. Both it and the plaque are treasures for my poetry room. The lessons I have given through the years have been a way of sharing my love of poetry. This sharing and the DPA friendships will be forever special to me. J. Paul
